NOTIFICATION OF THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR PERMANENT ALIEN LABOR CERTIFICATION UNDER THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR’S PERMANENT LABOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

An application concerning the employment of one or more alien workers for the following permanent position will be filed with the U.S. Department of Labor.  This Notice of Filing will be posted for ten (10) consecutive business days, ending between thirty (30) and one hundred and eighty (180) days before filing the Permanent Labor Certification Application.  Pursuant to 20 C.F.R. §656.10(d), please take notice of the following:

Position: Physical Therapist

Job Duties: Perform and document an initial exam, evaluating data to identify problems and determine a diagnosis prior to intervention; Plan, prepare, or carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients; Record prognosis, treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart or enter information into computer; Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation; Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction to help relieve pain, increase patient strength, or decrease or prevent deformity or crippling; Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit; Test and measure patient's strength, motor development and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, or respiratory or circulatory efficiency and record data; Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home; Confer with the patient, medical practitioners, or appropriate others to plan, implement, or assess the intervention program; and Review physician's referral and patient's medical records to help determine diagnosis and physical therapy treatment required.

Minimum Qualifications: At least a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or related field.  A related field of degree to physical therapy includes physiotherapy, neuro-muscular and psychosomatic disorder. Foreign equivalent degree accepted.  A New York State License as a Physical Therapist is required.  Foreign applicants must have a Visa Credential Verification/Visa Screen Certificate.

Wage: The wage offered is at least $79,227 per annum.  Please note that the Employer will pay or exceed the prevailing wage, as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor.

This Notice of Filing is being provided to workers in the place of intended employment by the following means: (1) Posting a clearly visible and unobstructed notice for a period of at least ten (10) consecutive business days, in one or more conspicuous locations in the workplace (including, but not limited to, locations in the immediate vicinity of the wage and hour notices), where the employer's U.S. workers readily can read the posted notice; and (2) publishing the notice in any and all in-house media, whether electronic or printed, in accordance with the normal procedures used for the recruitment of similar positions in the employer's organization.
