Resumes Trends in 2023:
How is a Prospective Employer Finding You?

The healthcare industry is one of the most competitive, challenging, and rewarding fields to work in.  With the shortage of qualified Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapists, it is difficult for employers to find candidates.  Artificial Intelligence is increasingly being used in resume screening to find you.  And essential qualifying words will be searched, such as your discipline and core critical skills.  All of these should be presented in an ATS-friendly format.

Don’t think you’ve experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) in your job search?  If you applied to positions on Indeed, ZipRecruiter, or other popular job-searching platforms, you’ve had direct experience with an AI-driven job search.  And the use of AI in applicant sourcing makes it even more important to have your resume stand out from the crowd.

With the assistance of AI, recruiters and prospective employers can now find the best Occupational, Physical, or Speech Therapy candidates for a job opening in a matter of seconds.  Applicant Tracking Software  (or ATS) has almost become an everyday use in parsing through resumes to find out if you’re qualified or not.

However, given that the first set of ‘eyes’ on your resume will not be human, you must include relevant keywords and have your resume completely searchable.  In our next blog, we will discuss the four core components of a perfect resume.

In the meantime, Therapeutic Resources is always here to lend a hand in both reviewing your resume and current job market trends with you.  Call us at 212.529.9780, email info@therapeuticresource.com, or send us your information here.
